Working with money

People who are blind or vision impaired often find it hard to identify the correct money when working with cash.

Workplace solutions and adjustments

There are products and solutions available that make working with money easier for people with blindness or vision impairment.

For people with low vision, options may include:

• magnifiers
• lighting—task or alternative lighting, such as headlamps.

For people with either no or low vision options may include:

• cash registers—talking
• coin sorters and counters—talking
• money folding for identification
• money identifiers—talking
