Emergency and other alerts

Emergency and other alerts let you know when there is danger or a hazard in the workplace. People with disabilities often require different or additional environmental cues to ensure their safety within the workplace. General emergency warning systems include both audible and visual alarms. These alerts can be modified, or additional alerts can be installed, to ensure safety for all people accessing the workplace.  Some alternative options include:

Workplace solutions and adjustments:

Procedures in the workplace for fire and other emergencies should always include provisions for the evacuation of people with disability. Emergency and other alerts can compliment these procedures.
