An envelope addressing guide is a piece of plastic with a cut out for writing an address on an envelope. The guide is placed over the envelope, with the cut out positioned where the address is required. This provides both physical guidance and a boundary in which to write. The guides generally come in dark colours which provide a contrast to the paper underneath.
Workplace solutions and adjustments:
Within most workplaces addressing of envelopes is now done via computer, however on some occasions at work and home, addressing handwritten envelopes may be required. For people with either a vision impairment that have difficulty seeing the envelope or those with a movement impairment in which they have difficulty writing in a restricted or specific area, envelope addressing guides can assist in ensuring an address is written in the correct spot on the envelope and appears neat and professional.
