Telephone extension ringers sound when the telephone to which it is connected rings. They can be installed in conjunction with your standard telephone to provide additional ring volume for people with a hearing impairment. Features include:

  • adjustable ring pitch and volume
  • some models plugs into any socket, no batteries or mains power required, others require hard wiring
  • much louder than a standard telephone ring
  • available with different coloured lights
  • some models allow for a standard lamp to be plugged into the device which flashes when the telephone rings
  • choice of modes: off, light only, ring only, light and ring.

Workplace solutions and adjustments

Telephone extension ringers provide an auditory and visual indication of an incoming call and are useful for people with hearing impairment or those who work in a particularly noisy environment.
