Steel mesh and cut resistant gloves can be worn by people in hospitality, catering, meat and process working industries to prevent lacerations to their hands and wrists. This is particularly important for people who have fine motor impairments, coordination difficulties, and attention or concentration difficulties.
Steel mesh gloves are made from a stainless steel mesh with adjustable wrist strap. Cut resistant gloves are fibre based with wire thread woven into the glove. Cut resistant gloves are lighter in weight than steel mesh gloves and can provide greater dexterity for the user (Workcover SA 2000).
