A gooseneck telephone holder is a mechanical device with a flexible handset holder and a lever that allows the user to operate the phone without having to hold the handset. A stand holds the handset of the telephone at ear level. A plate fits over the engaging/disengaging button of the telephone and is operated by a lever, situated at the front of the unit. The lever is then pulled out to either receive or make a call.
For people in an office setting where a speakerphone would not be appropriate, a flexible gooseneck arm with a clamp to hold the phone receiver may be useful
Workplace solutions and adjustments
A gooseneck telephone holder may enable a person with limited upper limb use, such as those with motor neurone disease, to talk on the telephone in privacy. The telephone holder may be adapted for use with both standard telephones and mobile phones.
