Heavy moving and carrying is required in many workplaces and if proper manual handling techniques or equipment are not utilised, workplace injuries can occur.
Workplace solutions and adjustments
Products and equipment are available that can make tasks easier by reducing manual handling requirements. These can be particularly beneficial for people who have a disability or injury that restricts their ability to move and carry heavy items. This can then potentially increase task independence, improve productivity and reduce risk of injury.
