Monitor risers

Monitor risers allow a computer monitor to be adjusted to different heights, or for the monitor to be positioned above other desk items, thus creating more useable desk space.

A variety of stands are available to raise screens above desk height. Adjustable height and movable stands may also need to be considered if there is more than one worker sharing a desk, to allow for accommodation of all individuals' needs.

Combined with a height adjustable keyboard tray, monitor risers may allow a sit-to stand workstation from a stationary desk.

Workplace solutions and adjustments

when using a monitor riser, the top of the screen should generally be positioned level with the user's horizontal eye level and at a distance of approximately one full arm length when the operator is sitting in their usual position for keying:
