Noise and vibration suppression materials

Noise and vibration suppression materials use a dampening, isolation or cancellation solution to reduce or eliminate vibrations that would otherwise result in loss or damage of a system or damage to hearing. These materials contain excellent shock absorption, memory, isolation, vibration and damping characteristics. The materials have specific chemical properties that enable them to absorb the noise and vibrations.

Workplace solutions and adjustments

In the workplace noise and vibration suppression materials may enable people with hearing or physical impairment to maintain their independence by reducing or eliminating pain and discomfort. They also prevent injuries caused by noise and vibration. The use of noise suppression materials in the workplace can in some cases reduce the need for ear plugs or other forms of hearing protection.

The reduction of noise can also assist people in the workplace who suffer from conditions where constant loud noise exposure can lead to an increase in stress. Noise and vibration exposure can also cause increases in blood pressure, heart rate and irritability, leading to many other health concerns.
