Organisers and timing devices

Organisers and timing devices assist people to organise their workload and remind them of important information and dates. They are compact and can store information such as dates, appointments and data. Some organisers can be linked to computers to store and download information.

Workplace solutions and adjustments

In the workplace, timers and reminders can allow people to be independent and manage their working day and workload. Timing devices can alert an individual to dates, appointments and rest breaks either by vibrating, audible tones or announcing the reminder out loud.

Using standard organisers and timing devices can sometimes be difficult for individuals with sensory difficulties, however there are a range of devices available to assist (more information can be found under 'A range of organisers and timing devices are available including' section at the end of this article):
