Stove isolation switches can be fitted to gas or electric stoves and can be pre-programmed to turn off the electricity or gas after a preset period. By-pass switches can also be installed to allow people to cook for extended periods if required.
Stove isolation switches are beneficial for people with conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, acquired brain injury and mental illness who experience memory or concentration issues.
Workplace solutions and adjustments
Stove isolation switches can enhance kitchen safety in the workplace and within the home environment. Other visual cues or memory prompts can be used in collaboration with stove isolation switches such as reminder notes or setting the audible timer on the stove.
