A portable telephone coupler increases the volume and sound clarity of standard telephone handsets.
A small portable device attaches to the earpiece of the telephone and amplifies the incoming sound. It is an alternative to using a volume control phone. It can be used with or without a hearing aid and is hearing aid ‘T’ coil compatible. Portable telephone couplers are able to be used with payphones, cordless or mobile telephones.
Workplace solutions and adjustments
A portable telephone coupler may be useful for people with hearing impairment who need to travel or use a variety of telephones for their work.
The telephone coupler amplifies the incoming voice from the telephone and improves its sound clarity, which is particularly useful in noisy surroundings. It is suitable for use with or without a hearing aid.
