Vehicle related equipment—other

There are various modifications that can be made to a person’s vehicle to enable them to both transfer in and out of the vehicle and drive. A person with a long term illness or injury that affects mobility, vision or capacity to process information will often require a driving assessment to determine whether they are safe to drive a standard vehicle or require vehicle modifications. Restrictions may also apply to people with uncontrolled epilepsy or those experiencing seizures or blackouts. Training can be provided to learn to use any modifications installed.
