Victorian Council of Deaf People (VCOD) is a non profit organisation led and managed by Deaf people through provision of advocacy and information services to strengthen community participation and quality of life for Deaf Victorians. We provide Deaf Deaf World Workshops. Deaf Deaf World workshops are a two part interactive workshop – the first part focuses on the daily experiences and challenges that a deaf person experiences in a hearing world. The second part allows the participants to discuss experiences and learn Auslan (Australian Sign Language) supported by an Auslan Interpreter. All presenters hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and are actively involved in the Deaf Deaf World presentations.
