Free expert help

No two people experience disability in the same way. As an employer, you are not expected to be the expert on disability. There are resources and services available to help you.

The employment specialists

Australian Government employment service providers are a national network of community and private organisations dedicated to placing people with disability into employment. Their services are free to employers.

Disability Employment Services
Disability Employment Services provide a range of support for employers who employ people with disability. They can help you find the right person for the job and provide support through the ongoing employment process.

Job Services Australia
Job Services Australia operates as a free recruitment service with a national network of sites across Australia. As an employer, you deal with a local team and receive specialised recruitment services.

National Disability Recruitment Coordinator
If you are a large employer who employs more than 100 employees, the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator offers a point of contact for the recruitment of employees with disability. The National Disability Recruitment Coordinator provides free expert help including working with you to develop recruitment and employment practices that support the employment of people with disability.  The National Disability Recruitment Coordinator can also provide disability employment training to your staff and provide a pre-screening service to match job applicants suitable for your vacancies.
