Australian Disability Enterprises

Australian Disability Enterprises (formerly Business Services) are commercial enterprises whose workforce is predominantly people with disability.  These services have evolved from the sheltered workshops of the past, and today provide employment opportunities for more than 20 000 people with significant disability.

The Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) funds Australian Disability Enterprises to help them with the cost of supporting people with moderate to severe disability in employment.

All over Australia people work in Australian Disability Enterprises doing work as varied as catering, gardening, building furniture, metal fabrication, servicing the mining industry, printing and packaging.

Disability Business Services are especially suited to you if you have higher support needs and require a higher level of ongoing support.
