Disability Employment Services Program Providers are available to provide help and support as you find or keep a job. If you are receiving assistance from a Disability Employment Services Program Provider then you can expect and should receive a high level of service.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations monitors the way employment services are delivered and all Disability Services Program Providers must meet the standards of service and behaviour set out in the Code of Practice and Service Guarantees.
The Code of Practice
Employment and related services must deliver services in a manner that:
- upholds the integrity and good reputation of the service
- demonstrates a commitment to job seekers
- is accurate and relevant
- is communicated clearly and effectively
- encourages feedback without bias.

Disability Employment Services—Service Guarantee
Your Disability Employment Services Program Provider is responsible for providing you with the standard of service outlined in the Service Guarantee (links will open in a new window).
All Disability Employment Services Program Providers are assessed by trained auditors as meeting the Disability Services Standards. You will be treated as a valued individual and provided with opportunities to contribute to decisions that help you get or keep a job.
Your privacy will be respected and your Disability Employment Services Program Provider will treat any information you give them as confidential. Where information is shared, this will be in accordance with the law.
The services provided will be appropriate to your personal circumstances and background, as well as tailored to your needs and abilities.
Your Disability Employment Services Program Provider will:

give you clear information about what services you will receive from them and what your responsibilities are

provide job search services

work closely with you to develop an individual plan to help you achieve your employment goals

provide information on training, personal development, and traineeships and apprenticeships that could improve your employment opportunities

with your permission, approach employers directly for employment opportunities

provide information to potential employers about extra assistance available to help them employ a person with a disability
-
provide practical assistance when applying for jobs or attending interviews

meet with you regularly to assist you in your search for work.
