Help from Centrelink

Centrelink delivers a range of services to the Australian community and is the gateway for people seeking access to Australian Government income support.

If you would like to access support from an employment service such as Disability Employment Services or Job Services Australia, Centrelink can help.  Centrelink handles the registration, assessment and referral of job seekers to employment and employment-related services.

Centrelink is set up so that you can get more of the help you need in one place. Centrelink is an agency of the Australian Government Department of Human Services and operates under the Commonwealth Services Delivery Agency Act 1997 which formally came into effect on 1 July 1997.

In order to access some of the services available to help you find and keep a job, an assessment is required.
