Mental Health First Aid course

About one in five Australian adults will experience some form of common mental health problem in any one year.

As a result, a Mental Health First Aid course has been developed by the Research Centre at the University of Melbourne to give employers and managers, employees and their co-workers:
  • a greater understanding of mental illness
  • skills and confidence to talk to a colleague about mental illness
  • information and strategies on how to support people with mental illness in the workplace and the wider community
  • information on providing first aid for a mental health problem when it occurs.

More information about the course or other training in Mental Health First Aid can be found at the Mental Health First Aid web site at the Related Links on this page.
