The MoodGYM training program
MoodGYM is an innovative, interactive web program designed to prevent and decrease depressive symptoms. MoodGYM teaches the principles of cognitive behaviour therapy, which has been found to be helpful for people with depression. See Related Links to access the MoodGYM program.
The Learning Centre
The Learning Centre is an e-learning tool that allows Australian Government employment service providers to access a range of 'hands on' program and IT training modules, such as 'Mental Health Awareness' and 'Disability and Employment'. Each topic concludes with an online quiz that allows you to test your knowledge. You can even subscribe to a module so that you are notified by email if the module changes.
The Learning Centre is a part of the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations’ secure Employment and Community Services Network web environment and you'll be able to begin training as soon as you have a Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations User ID and password. JobAccess as a learning and development tool
The following list contains some suggestions on how to use the JobAccess web site as a learning and development tool.
Self-paced activities

Schedule a one hour block for each employment consultant to explore JobAccess, including the Workplace Adjustment Tool—this familiarity will increase the likelihood of employment consultants using JobAccess when working with job seekers with disability or when working with employers and co-workers.

For new employees, schedule a two hour block during staff induction for exploration of JobAccess.

Complete the training modules available through the Learning Centre.

Staff meeting activities

Connect a data projector to an Internet-wired laptop and navigate the JobAccess web site as a group to familiarise employment consultants with features.

Discuss a different workplace adjustment case study at each staff meeting. Use the Workplace Adjustment Tool to examine what products and solutions are available to assist job seekers complete particular job requirements.
- Encourage each employment consultant to look up one service covered in the 'Government services' section of JobAccess and share any relevant information found. This will familiarise employment consultants with the resources and services available in the community.
- Discuss the information available on JobAccess for employers, job seekers and employees, and co-workers at each staff meeting. This should include a review and discussion on the step by step guides, checklists and rights and responsibilities sections.

Run a series of informative activities based on the information contained in the rights and responsibilities for service providers section:
- Determine three points of action for how to progress and assign a committee to oversee the workplace transition to a more disability friendly environment.
