There are a number of employment services, incentives and programs funded by the Australian Government for job seekers and employees with disability and their employers:

Accessing Australian Government employment service providers

Australian Disability Enterprises
Australian Disability Enterprises Business Services employ and support people with disability who need a higher level of ongoing support, often in specialist working environments, work crews or contract labour arrangements.

Disability Employment Services
The Disability Employment Services provides a range of assistance to people with disability to prepare for, find and keep a job as well as help to employers recruiting people with disability.

Employment Assistance Fund
The Employment Assistance Fund provides access to funding for workplace modifications, workplace support services and Auslan assistance.

Employment Services Assessments
Employment Services Assessments are conducted by allied health professionals employed by the Department of Human Services. The assessments recommend the most appropriate employment service for a job seeker.

Fair Work Ombudsman
The Fair Work Ombudsman works with employees, employers, contractors and the community to promote harmonious, productive and cooperative workplaces. The Fair Work Ombudsman investigate workplace complaints and enforce compliance with Australia's workplace laws.

Financial help for employers
Financial help and assistance is available to help eligible employers of people with disability.

Job Services Australia
Job Services Australia provides assistance to people with disability who do not need ongoing support or rehabilitation to find or keep a job. For employers, Job Services Australia operates as a no-fee recruitment service.

Mobility Allowance
Mobility Allowance assists people with disability to pay for transport costs when they are unable to use public transport without substantial assistance.

National Disability Coordination Officer Program
A national network of coordination officers who offer information, coordination and referral services for people with a disability who are interested in, or enrolled in, post-school education and training.

National Disability Recruitment Coordinator
The National Disability Recruitment Coordinator works with employers and Disability Employment Services Program Providers to organise the recruitment of people with disability.

Supported Wage System
The Supported Wage System provides productivity based wage assessments for employees with disability who are unable to work at full wage rates. You can now apply online for the Supported Wage System.

Wage subsidies
There is financial assistance available through wage subsidies for employers who employ eligible employees with disability.

Work Experience Activities
Work experience activities provide employers with an opportunity to see how someone operates in a work environment and provides job seekers with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and attitude to employers. It also provides the job seeker with the opportunity to develop new skills and improve their chances of getting a job.

Work for the Dole
The Work for the Dole activities give job seekers a chance to gain some work experience while looking for work, and to do something worthwhile for the community.

Workplace Adjustment Tool
The Workplace Adjustment Tool contains practical ideas for workplace modifications and adjustments aimed at supporting people with disability undertake the vast array of activities and tasks in the workplace.
