Our job seekers
A key feature of Kimberley Personnel's Vision is:-
To be the DES provider of choice for DEEWR, people affected by disability, their families and employers in the region by:-
a) Providing the best support to our clients and their employers
We work with people of all disability types including mental illness and of all cultural backgrounds (especially with our own Aboriginal people). Our service is friendly, non judgemental and tailored to each individuals, interests and needs.
All we ask of clients of our service is to maintain sufficient contact with us so that we can effectively work with them to achieve their employment goals. We are especially keen to assist students affected by disability in their transition from school to work although we work with people right up to 64.9 years of age. Kimberley Personnel recognizes that people may wish to work on specific vocational or non-vocational skills development to help them prepare for the world of work, such as assistance with reading and writing or obtaining a qualification and actively supports it's clients in these areas.
Ultimately if your considering a service provider, Kimberley Personnel is not about Kimberley Personnel it's about you, your aspirations and your dreams.... And as far as we're concerned the skies the limit! (unless you want to be an Astronaut of course)
Our employers
Kimberley Personnel has provided the employers of Broome and the West Kimberley with a free recruitment service and much more since 1994.
The candidates that we put forward are people who live in the region, and are frequently extraordinary people! Each of the potential employees we refer to an employer have shown motivation, aptitude and interest to work in the role that we are referring them to. Before referral we confirm that the candidate has appropriate skills, knowledge and experience for the role they are being referred to, or else we can work with an employer to develop their new recruits skills; this may mean involving a Registered Training Organization, arranging a Traineeship or Apprenticeship pathway, or through the help of our case managers while the new recruit gets on top of the role.
Kimberley Personnel is there to help with any of the hurdles that may arise in the employment of one of our candidates by bringing the expertise of 18 years experience to bear to bring about a successful appointment; this might include purchasing adaptive technologies, workplace modifications, training for co-workers or supervisors, applications for productivity based wage rates (if applicable) and ongoing support to the employer and the new recruit for as long as is needed.
Kimberley Personnel is a very community minded organization and as such we frequently work with people entering the workforce for the first time (eg. students transitioning from school to work; people who have been set back by disability, illness or injury). We exist to help these extraordinary people to pursue real careers and are keen to find employers who are willing to tap into this stream and provide the opportunities to help make our community a richer one for all who live in it!

Our performance
Kimberley Personnel is committed to achieving the best level of performance that we can as an employment service provider, with a constant effort being put towards continuous improvement. Having said this Kimberley Personnel has a policy of inclusion and not exclusion, which means that as long as eligibility to the DES ESS program has been determined by a Department of Human Services Assessor we will commence a person in the program at their request. Effectively that means we exist to assist people affected by injury, illness and disability to set and steer towards their employment goals; we are no-judgemental, person centred and holistic in our approach. Therefore we recognize that rapid job placement is not likely to be the best pathway for every person.
Kimberley Personnel has had success across all disability types over it's long history and has a great track record with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal. We also pride our self in our good track record accessing Traineeship and Apprenticeship pathways for our clients and helping people cross the stepping stones either into work for the first time or to re-enter the workforce following a health crisis.
