Our job seekers

ProActiv is a unique disability employment provider as it was founded on rehabilitating people back to work after injured or illness.

Our primary function is to deliver the most suitable employment for our client. We achieve this goal through empowered, well trained, customer focused and innovative employment consultants who have the support of equally driven, motivated and skilled healthcare experts who provide specialist mental and physical interventions.

The business, and its vision, was inspired by our founder's father who was injured at work and was faced with all manner of obstacles which in turn impacted on her, and her family's way of life. His trials and tribulations laid the foundation for our health focused approach to disability employment.

We use a combination of self-assessment, specialist personal interventions, job placement and personal mentoring to guide, support and assist you to meet your job goal.

Our employers

Our employer networks are extensive with established relationships in all industries. Our staff will make direct links with employers related directly to the skills, experience, strengths and interests of participants.

We have strong relationships with employers across the metropolitan region and have formal arrangements in place with many employers to assist with their recruitment and workforce needs.

We assist employers to:  Negotiate employment subsidies e.g. wage subsidies, supported wage system · Arrange workplace modifications · Arrange insurance for unpaid work trial placements · Assist in enhancing skill development with ongoing training. We work with employers to  develop individualised business solutions, this includes job design, wage incentives, supported wage, traineeships, apprenticeships NEIS and Employment Assistance Fund for work-related equipment, modifications and services.

ProActiv Employment Consultants provide an "end to end' job matching service to employers and case management, job search guidance, participant employer engagement, referral to skills development and education courses, support services and on the job support to participants.

Our networks

Working with other service providers and delivering a holistic focused service to job seekers is vital to successful outcomes. As such, having provided employment placement services since 2006,

ProActiv has a number of relationships in place with organisations that work with us to facilitate sustainable employment outcomes. These organisations may include:

• Allied health providers: physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, psychologists, podiatrists and occupational therapists
• Medical and treating specialists
• Assistive technology specialists:  assist with devices, aids and designs to facilitate workplace functionality
• Community based organizations: Beyond Blue, mental health programs, domestic violence crisis service
• Educational and training providers
• Job Access Providers
• Employers
• Recruiters and labour hire companies.

Once a participant’s employment program is established, ProActiv will understand the types of service and support necessary to facilitate employment.

Some of the organisations that we collaborate with are: · TAFE SA , Local Employment Coordinators, Regional Council, High Schools and Secondary Schools, Career Development Services · Apprenticeship and Traineeship Brokers . We work with a range of State and Commonwealth Agencies including: Centrelink, Housing SA and Families SA.

Our performance

Job placement activities that work with DES job seekers are a core part of ProActiv’s services.

ProActiv works with job seekers through client contracts that require us to assess an individual’s situation and determine and achieve employment outcomes aligned with contract requirements.

ProActiv has been awarded a 5 star rating (highest possible) for their stellar return to work performance with RTWSA.

Performance

ProActiv provided customised, individual employment services for 3,690 participants since 2006, achieving:

1.         1,969 employment placements for ReturnToWork SA (RTWSA) registered employers (with participant either retaining original or obtaining new employment)

2.         868 employment placements for self-insured employers, e.g. Local Government Authority of South Australia, South Australia Police

3.         194 employment placements for Income Protection claimants (for people with non-work-related disability, injury, and health conditions).

4.         659 employment and redeployment placements for Australian Public Service for Comcare
