NQ Employment (NQE) has been delivering quality employment services for people with a disability for almost 30 years since it was first established in 1989. NQE’s extensive experience, local knowledge and connections with employers enhance our performance outcomes in assisting job seekers into sustainable employment. NQE’s performance is further showcased by:

• Celebrates Disability Action Week and International Day of People With Disability- Hosting events and information stands within central business districts ·
• QLD Country Burdekin Small Business Award for General Services- Ayr site was recognised for their successful networks and high standing in the community
• Spinal Injuries Association’s ‘Inclusive Community Champion for Best Local Business/Community Service Provider- Ayr site named a finalist
• Creating Inclusive Community Award 2009- UBD Motors for employing a person who has Autism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and depression. This job seeker was supported by NQE. The individual award was presented to NQE Vice-Chairman, Gwenyth Cutler for contributions to assisting people with Autism
• Creating Inclusive Community Award 2011- Presented to NQ Green Solutions for employing people with disability and NQE Director, Ken Turner for contributions in providing recreation opportunities for people with disability
• Trainee of the Year- NQE job seeker who is profoundly Deaf was nominated at the QLD Training Awards for being a role model for people with disability. NQE staff provided support to the job seeker and employer to gain a traineeship as an Auto Glazier
• Burdekin Land Care Award- Recognition for the Rangelands to Reef initiative for providing employment opportunities for people with disability

NQ Employment is a locally based not for profit organisation committed to finding mutually satisfying employment between employers and job seekers with a disability, injury, health condition or barrier to employment. NQ Employment has been delivering employment services in North Queensland for almost 30 years.

All of our offices are linked closely to the community and have long established connections which improves our ability to find suitable employment and training opportunities for job seekers.

NQ Employment provides tailored training and employment options for all job seekers with a disability under our Generalist service. Furthermore, we also provide Specialist employment services for Indigenous Australians with a disability, health condition or injury.

Our local knowledge and connections with other organisations has improved our ability to work effectively with job seekers and employers. One of our core values is that all job seekers have the right to obtain and enjoy work and to succeed in their chosen career pathway.
